Hannah’s Healthy Start™ adds a short-term fee on top of your TLC Plan for the first 6 months (paid monthly or as a lump sum) — and bundles the vaccines, exams, parasite control, and spay/neuter that young Pets need most.

Seeing your Pet sick or in pain is difficult enough without stressing over a high, unexpected veterinary bill. We designed our Sick or Injured Pet plans to get your companion the treatment they need right away, with a payment structure that supports your family.
A Good Faith Estimate up front
After we exam and diagnose your Pet, we give you a written Good Faith Estimate of the “Cost to Treat” — what it will take to return your Pet to good health or a more stable condition.
You pay 50% (or less) up front
The Sick or Injured Care Fee is 50% (or less) of the Good Faith Estimate. The other 50% is deferred — and only owed if you later choose to take ownership of your Pet back from Hannah.
Manageable payments
The Sick or Injured Care Fee can be paid as a lump sum or financed at Hannah’s discretion based on your preference and credit/payment history.
Focus on healing
We treat your Pet right away — Hannah covers any expenses if the actual Cost to Treat exceeds the Good Faith Estimate.
If your Pet passes away within 14 days of signing the TLC Placement Addendum, the 50% deferred balance and remaining Sick or Injured monthly payments are waived as a good-will gesture. Full mechanics are in Section N of the Membership Agreement (PDF).

What does Total Lifetime Care® include?
Total Lifetime Care® bundles preventive care (exams, vaccines, parasite prevention, dental), illness and injury care, emergency care at Hannah hospitals, behavior and training support, formulary medications, and a registered microchip — all into one predictable monthly fee, with no co-pays, no deductibles, and no annual caps.
How much does Total Lifetime Care® cost per month?
Monthly fees start at $89/month for cats and $109/month for dogs. Final pricing depends on your Pet's age, breed, and any pre-existing conditions. The exact price is calculated through the quote form.
Are pre-existing conditions covered?
Most pre-existing conditions are welcome on a Hannah TLC plan. A short intake exam tells us whether Hannah is a good fit. Some conditions, certain breeds, and aggressive Pets may not be a fit — these are the exceptions, not the rule.
Can I cancel my Membership at any time?
Yes. There are three cancellation paths: take ownership of your Pet (with applicable fees), allow cancellation due to non-payment after 30 days past due (ownership transfers automatically), or surrender the Pet to Hannah at a scheduled appointment (no Pet Purchase Fee owed). What's the difference between an Adult plan and Healthy Start™?
Adult plans cover Pets 1 year and older. Healthy Start™ is a 6-month add-on for puppies and kittens that bundles the vaccines, exams, parasite control, and spay/neuter that young Pets need most. Healthy Start™ runs on top of the TLC plan and ends after 6 months.
Is the monthly fee the same at the Tigard and Portland hospitals?
Yes. Hannah Membership and Total Lifetime Care® plans cost the same regardless of which Hannah hospital you primarily visit. Both hospitals provide the same TLC coverage; the Tigard hospital additionally offers 24/7 emergency care.
