Beat the Summer Heat With Frozen Pupsicles

Beat the Summer Heat With Frozen Pupsicles

Looking for a way to use those overripe bananas AND help your pup stay cool this summer? Try this frozen pupsicle recipe!

Four simple ingredients are all you need to make these delicious treats, and you might even want to make an extra one for yourself (minus the dog biscuit, of course).

Grab yourself 1 cup of plain yogurt, 1 Tbsp. of peanut butter, an overly ripe banana and 4 skinny rawhide treats or 4 milk bones, whichever you have on hand (popsicle sticks work too just be sure Fido doesn’t eat it).

Chop the banana into small chunks and add them to a blender along with the peanut butter and plain yogurt. Blend until smooth.

For the pupsicle form, paper dixie cups are the easiest option because you can peel off the paper before giving it to your dog, but you can also use a regular popsicle mold or ice cube tray.

Fill each cup with the delicious mix, and pop a rawhide stick or milk bone into the middle. Place them in the freezer for 1-2 hours and share with your furry friend!

Watching them eat it is half the fun, so be sure to take a lot of cute pictures and videos of them enjoying their new favorite treat, and share them all with us on Facebook!
